A Leave of Absence (LOA) is defined as an unpaid approved absence from work, and includes:
- Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Leave
- Leave approved under state or local regulations (such as sick or safe leave)
- Company Medical Leave (for employee’s own medical condition)
- Personal Leave (extreme hardship)
- Military Leave
- Jury Duty Leave
- Victim of Crime leave
