How to Track Jury Duty Pay
(1) Request a copy of the jury duty summons from the employee and remind employee that:
- He/she must report back to work if they do not have to report for jury duty on a scheduled day, and/or a full day of jury duty is not served.
- If he/she receives a government check as reimbursement for jury duty, the check must be endorsed over to the Company and forwarded immediately to the Treasury Department (unless prohibited by local law).

(2) Enter jury duty pay hours into timekeeping system for the employee.
- Full-time employees: 8 hours pay for each day off (up to a maximum of 2 weeks, 80 hours or 10 business days)*
- Part-time employees: 4 hours pay for each day off (up to a maximum of 2 weeks, 40 hours or 10 business days)*
Jury duty pay hours are paid at straight time.
*Employees may elect to use PTO if jury duty extends beyond 2 weeks or 80 hours.
